The children at The Meadows spend at least 2 hours outside daily, we are the only school that writes this into our curriculum. We have many learning centers outside and our teachers take the curriculum that they develop outside to help engage the children in different environments. If the weather is too poor to go outside then we have an indoor playroom with a gigantic hand painted two level castle complete with slide, ball pit, dragon cave and fairy garden to engage their gross motor skill and help them burn off energy!
Before I tell you about my experience, I would like to let you know I have a 2-year-old son and I would like to find a position where I can bring him with me. I have been a nanny/child care professional for over 17 years with all ages of children. I have also worked in the health care and food service industries. Also, I was enrolled at a university online, going for my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I took a break but I'm ready to get back into college. I have been CPR and first aid trained and certified. I do need to re-certify, but I am more than willing to do so. My last job was a summer nanny position, I cared for 4 children, ages 4 to 11. I cooked for them, took them on outside adventures and cared for their well-being. The position before that was caring for a 1 and 3-year-olds. I was in-charge of preparing daily activities, inside and outside, cooking, light cleaning, diaper changing. Thanks for reading!
Our highly acclaimed child care center is well known for its warmly decorated, home like learning environment. In classrooms, for example, we display pictures of children with their families above each student’s cubby, and our family-friendly atmosphere welcomes parent visits anytime during the school day. Our monthly events and parties acknowledge major holidays and always lend a fun, celebratory feel.
It is NOT a different type of license or a substitute for licensing or accreditation. The intent of the Qualistar Rating™ is to give licensed programs a measurement of quality, by star levels, and recommendations on how to improve the quality of the care they provide. Accreditation by a national accrediting agency is a separate process that has its own set of standards and validation system.
I have a younger brother who I learned most of my childcare skills on. (He was quite the guinea pig). I also spent two summers as a daytime nanny for a 6 and 8-year-old. I enjoy being around children and am great with them! I love for kids to feel that the night was special and for them to look forward to the next time their favorite babysitter gets to come over!
I was lucky enough to come in contact with Sheila after going through numerous babysitters/child care providers who either my kids did not like or the babysitter/child care provider could no longer care for my children. After bouncing around from provider to provider, I was relieved to find Angel Camp where my girls are thrilled about spending each day there. They are very well taken care of, happy, and I have no worries about my children during the day. She keeps in good contact with me so I always know the status of my children and how their day is going. It means the world to me knowing my children are in good hands.
Hello my name is Nicole and together with my husband we run a very small in home day care. We have a unique program where our babies really grow up and learn together. We start with all new born babies then as they grow so does our daycare. We started as an infant nursery last year, then converted into a toddler nursery and now we are doing pre-school followed by a full preschool program next year. Then we will start over again!
